About Nazar
I've spent my career at frontiers - the places where new value gets created before it has a name.
At Goldman Sachs, I helped lead internet investment banking across EMEA while the internet was still being priced. As CEO of Forticom / OK.ru, I built one of Europe's first unicorns and largest social networks. At Tiger Global and now at Rise, I invest across emerging markets, where the next billion consumers are coming online, investing in / serving on the board of iconic companies like JOYY (Nasdaq: JOYY), Kueski, Kitopi, and StockGro.
Twenty years operating on the frontiers taught me one pattern: value migrates before consensus notices. The largest migration I've ever seen is happening now. As AI absorbs analytical work, human value is shifting from cognitive intelligence to relational intelligence - the unique human capacities machines can imitate but never authentically hold: wisdom, relationships, meaning.
So today I invest in three things:
* Companies. Rise Capital backs purpose-driven internet businesses across emerging markets.
* Humans. Sol - the "Strava for inner growth" - where more than 1 million people go to grow and share their inner lives, and build their relational intelligence.
* Ideas. My forthcoming book, The New Smart (Berrett-Koehler, 2027) makes the case that relational intelligence is the key to human value in the age of AI - a thesis I also explore on the Sol Searching podcast.
